About Rocket Works
Rocket Works makes upgrade parts for the TerraGator AirMax: the Rocket Fan Pro, Fan Housing, Boom Pivot and Deflector. They're built in our plant in Airway Heights, Washington, at Extreme Industrial Coatings.
Why we build the Rocket Fan
Two custom fertilizer operators came to us with a problem. Between them they run more than 20 TerraGators, and they were tired of broken boom pivots. They asked us to build a boom pivot that wouldn't break. It worked, so they came back and asked for a better fan. Three and a half years and a patent application later, we've built hundreds of Rocket Works components for TerraGators. We haven't had a single boom pivot break, and our Rocket Fans are holding up well in central Washington, one of the toughest places to run these machines. Grant County, Washington ranks 10th of more than 3,000 U.S. counties in the market value of ag products sold.
Who's behind it
Rocket Works is run by Jon Osborne, who founded Extreme Industrial Coatings (EIC) in 2003. Since then EIC has repaired and manufactured severe-duty machine parts for agricultural, mining, hydroelectric and manufacturing customers across North America and overseas, using manual and CNC machining, TIG welding and thermal spray coatings.
Jon is a former US Air Force officer. He's a machinist, welder, metallographic technician and thermal spray journeyman, and a named co-inventor on U.S. Patent No. 9,382,995. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Eastern University and has done post-graduate study in engineering management. Earlier, he co-owned Specialty Machining & Manufacturing in Spokane, repairing gears, pumps and splines, and worked as a metallurgical lab technician.
Why it matters to you
The people who build your parts machine, weld, and coat worn equipment parts every day, so they know how parts fail in the field. Have a question about fit, wear or your machine? Call or text us. You'll talk to the people who run the plant.
