ROCKET FAN PRO
Run smoother. Spread more evenly. Replace your fan less often.
The Rocket Fan™ Pro is a replacement fan for the TerraGator® AirMax pneumatic spreader. It's engineered for double the service life of the factory fan, and every one is precision balanced in our plant.
Factory fan vs. Rocket Fan™ Pro
| Factory fan | Rocket Fan™ Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Balance | Vibrates due to imbalance | Precision balanced in our plant. Every fan. |
| Blades | Eight round aluminum rods that cause turbulence | Eight high-strength stainless Rocket blades with RocketCoat™ |
| As it wears | Rods wear quickly, leading to premature blade wear | Patent-pending blade design keeps shielding the blades behind |
| Shaft mounting surface | Short bushing that can cock | Extended-length hub dramatically improves stability |
| Service life | Baseline | Engineered for double the service life |
Patent pending.
Why the factory fan wears out
The fan moves thousands of pounds of product per hour across the 70-foot booms. When it wears, the entire machine becomes less efficient.
The factory fan uses round aluminum rods to hold the fan together. These round rods cause serious turbulence, which reduces the air the fan can move while wasting fuel. The turbulence those rods cause accelerates the wear of the plastic blades, further degrading the fan's efficiency.
The factory fan also mounts with a split-tapered bushing in a 5/8" aluminum mid-plate, held by three bolts threaded into aluminum. That thin, soft mount is easy to tilt during installation, so the fan can start out crooked before the machine ever runs.
How the Rocket Fan Pro fixes it
Blades that hold up. We replace the eight aluminum rods with eight high-strength stainless Rocket blades with RocketCoat™. Because they practically don't wear at all, they shield the soft plastic blades behind them.
A mount that stays true. Our extended steel hub nearly doubles the mounting surface, so the fan goes on straight. It bolts on with six bolts from the back of the plate, steel on steel, not three bolts in aluminum. No tilt means less shake.
Balanced in our plant. Factory fans are not precision balanced. Every Rocket Fan Pro is. A balanced fan runs smooth, and less vibration means less wear on your hydraulic motor and bearings.
The bottom line
Engineered for double the service life of the factory fan. That means fewer fan changes, less downtime and a steadier spread pattern season after season.
